Affiliate Disclosure
When you book one of the tours or activities listed here through certain links, the booking partner pays us a commission. This page sets out which links earn that money, which earn nothing at all, and why the arrangement never shapes what gets recommended.
Where Our Commissions Come From
Most tour links here point to booking platforms that pay a commission on completed bookings. The comparisons cover 40 bookable tours across 10 categories: walking tours, day trips, food and drink, tickets and passes, and free walks. Every one of the 40 publishes a from-price, running from $0 to $209. Booking partners also sit behind stays, car hire, transfers, flights, eSIM and transport tickets wherever those categories appear. No link anywhere on this site is paid placement.
Pages With No Paid Links
Many of Bratislava's sights are covered without any affiliate link at all. The Primate's Palace sells its own tickets on the city's official website, priced in euros with a reduced rate for students and older visitors, and this site links to that page plainly and takes nothing from a sale. The same applies to the castle grounds, the Old Town lanes and the Danube riverfront, none of which require any booking at all. Practical details like the Twin City Liner timetable to Vienna are given as a plain reference with no commission attached. These entries sit beside the paid links, not behind them.
Our Editorial Line
What appears on this site, and in what order, is an editorial call alone. No tour operator pays to be listed, and none can buy a better position, so a tip-based free walking tour sits in the same comparison as a 13-hour day trip from $168, judged on its merits. Ratings and review counts, such as a 4.92 across 3,561 reviews on a free walk or a 4.6 across 220 on a sightseeing vehicle, come from the booking platforms' published listings and are reproduced exactly as they stand. Tour prices are shown in US dollars because that is what the listings publish; in Slovakia itself you pay in euros.
